Singapore's Entry Requirements For Yellow Fever

Singapore is free from yellow fever but remains at risk due to the presence of the mosquito vector. To prevent importation, Singapore requires all travelers with a travel history to high-risk countries to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate.

Who requires a yellow fever vaccination certificate?

You must present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate upon arrival in Singapore to the ICA officer if you are:

  • An individual (including Singapore residents) who has traveled to any area in a country with risk of yellow fever transmission within the six days prior to arriving in Singapore.

  • A traveler who has had an airport transit of more than 12 hours in a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

What is considered a 'valid' certificate?

The International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is considered valid:

  • 10 days after the vaccination is administered.*

The validity lasts for the lifetime of the person vaccinated. We advise travelers to receive the vaccine at least 10 days before traveling to any high-risk countries.

*E.g., the vaccine was administered on 1 January 2021, the vaccination certificate is considered valid from 11 January 2021 onwards.
